Recommended Preparations of our Organic Coffee Doña Elena
Espresso Coffee:
With a dash of milk (Caffé espresso macchiato)
It is normal espresso coffee, with the addition of no more than one third, of foaming hot milk. Some add a trickle of cold milk, and then a fourth part of foaming hot milk. Heat the milk converting it into a dense and continuous foam.
Capuchino (Cappuccino all’italiana)
Use a container with a capacity of about 150 cc. (a tea cup has 220 cc). An espresso is prepared herein adding no more than 2 times of hot milk with foam. The proportions are 1/3 of espresso-type organic coffee Doña Elena, 1/3 milk, and 1/3 foam.
The milk’s temperature should not be above 70ºC. Foam should be compact and persistent.
Cappuccino alla viennese
A double coffee is prepared in the same cup as the cappuccino and covered with abundant fresh whipped cream and cinnamon and bitter cocoa is sprinkled on top. The real cappuccino alla viennese consists of 1/3 hot chocolate, 1/3 espresso coffee, 1/3 of whipped cream (Chantilly) on top sprinkled with cinnamon and cocoa.
Caffé latte
The percentage of milk Could be of 80/85% and of 15/20% organic coffee Doña Elena and it is better to heat the milk first, not necessarily with foam, and added the café espresso and sweeten as you like.
Caffé freddo
Cold coffee is the preparation that satisfies best the palate of coffee drinkers. With whipped cream – CHANTILLI – on top, it is delicious.
We recommend you prepare a heavy café espresso, placing it in a shaker with a great deal of ice, whipping it rapidly and immediately turning it over to its corresponding glass, it is better if cooled off before. Thus, the organoleptic properties of coffee will not be dissipated. A tablespoon of fresh cream on top will reinforce the flavor, making it very pleasant. Taste it. You can also add some liquor, such as a Galliano or a Tía María!
Caffé alla turca
The preparation of 6 cups implies placing in a container, 6 tablespoons of finely ground organic coffee doña Elena, 6 grains of cardamom or nuts and 6 cups of cold water. Heat the mixture on the stove and withdraw when it starts boiling. Let it stand for a few minutes and repeat this process three more times. Before serving, add some drops of cold water so that the coffee powder will concentrate at the bottom.
